Monroe College Women's Cross Country Captures Region 15 Division I Championship At Queensborough Invitational

Bronx, New York - Sophomore Attoya Harvey carried the torch for Monroe College women's cross country on Sunday afternoon, winning the Queensborough Invitational and leading the Mustangs to the 2024 NJCAA Region 15 Division I Championship. The victory qualifies the Mustangs for the 2024 NJCAA Division I Cross Country Championships, which will be held in November in Richmond, Virginia.

Harvey grabbed first place among 144 runners in Sunday's event, clocking in at 20:53.30 and picking up a second consecutive victory in the 5k. Freshman Tanesia Gardiner also finished in the top 10 for the Mustangs in sixth with a personal best time of 22:11.00.
