Nassau C.C. Women's Volleyball Moves Up To No. 13 In NJCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Week Three Poll

Charlotte, North Carolina - After a dominant straight-set victory over perennial Region 15 power Queensborough Community College, the Nassau Community College women's volleyball team inched up one spot to No. 13 in the NJCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Week Three poll as announced by the NJCAA on Monday.

Against the Queensborough Community College, Nassau started quickly, taking a 10-5 lead to begin the first set. The momentum continued as the Lions went on a five-point run later in the set to lead 20-12 before closing out the set 25-17. In the second set, the Lions rallied to knot it up at seven, then closed it out with a 4-1 run to break a 21-21 tie to give them the win 25-22. Nassau ran away with it in the third set, utilizing an 8-0 scoring run and taking the match with a 25-22 for the straight-set victory.

Sarah Kollarik led the Lions with nine kills and posted eight digs, while Elizabeth Wagner totaled 19 assists, with four kills and 12 digs, and Allison Salinas led the team with 19 digs and three service aces.

Kollarik leads the Lions with 35 kills, while Wagner and Salinas are tops with 78 assists and 47 digs.
