
Queensborough Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Finishes 12th At NJCAA Division III Outdoor Championships, Seven Earn All-America Honors

Utica, New York - The Queensborough Women's Track and Field team came home with plenty of hardware after their performance at the 2024 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Championships at Mohawk Valley. Seven runners earned USTFCCCA (United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) All-American honors, leading the Tigers to a 12th-place finish overall in Utica, New York.
The Tiger's top finishers at the Outdoor Championships were a fourth-place finish from Medina Scribner in the women's 400 meters with a personal best time of 1:10.35, a fifth-place finish in the women's triple jump from Julianne Cousin with a personal best mark of 9.92 meters, sixth place finish from Emely Palacio in the Women's Heptathlon with 1,944 points and eighth place finishes in the 3,000 meter Steeplechase and Heptathlon from Manor Elnoor and Isabel Torres.
Elnoor registered a personal best in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 14:49.56.
The Tiger's 4x100 relay team (Cossin, Scribner, Da Silva, Hernandez) finished sixth, and the 4x400 relay team (Cossin, Hernandez, Scribner, Da Silva) came across the tape with a seventh-place finish.
Sheila Da Silva (4x100m Relay, 4x400m Relay, 4x800m Relay), Cossin (Triple Jump, 4x100m Relay, 4x400m Relay, 4x800m Relay), Scribner (400m Hurdles, 4x100m Relay, 4x400m Relay), Elnoor (3,000m Steeplechase and 4x800m Relay) and Kayla Hernandez (4x100m Relay, 4x400m Relay, 4x800m Relay) all earned Women's USTFCCCA All-America accolades in multiple events. Palacio and Torres both grabbed USTFCCCA All-America honors in the Heptathlon.
