Two Late Second-Half Goals Catapult Suffolk Community College Into 2023 NJCAA Division III Women's Soccer Quarterfinals

Gastonia, North Carolina - After 70 minutes of a match that was even through, the fourth-seeded Suffolk Community College women's soccer team broke through, netting two goals in the 79th minute apart to knock off fifth-seeded Onondaga Community College 2-0 in the 2023 NJCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship quarterfinals. The Sharks will take on top-seed Delta College on November 10 at 11 a.m.

Suffolk Community College's leading goal scorer, Melany Pagan-Rosario, helped break open the scoring in the 79th minute to make it 1-0. Pagan-Rosario would help provide some insurance in 38 seconds, feeding Yamileth Fuentes to make it 2-0 to send the Sharks to the semifinals.

Aaliyah Shorter picked up her sixth shutout of the season, tied for 10th nationally, and made three saves in the victory.
