Dutchess Softball Drops Both Games in Northeast District Series to No. 6 Rhode Island

The Dutchess Community College softball team's historic season came to an end on Saturday afternoon with two losses in the Northeast District Championship Series to nationally ranked No. 6 Community College of Rhode Island, by scores of 6-1 and 5-1, at Dutchess Softball Stadium.

The Knights clinch a berth in the JUCO Softball World Series which will be played in Dewitt, N.Y. from May 21 until May 24. 

It was a successful season for the Falcons as they captured the program's first-ever Region 15 Championship after an undefeated run in the regional tournament. 

Dutchess will return to the field in March of 2026.
