Nassau Community College Men's Lacrosse Captures Northeast Atlantic District Championship, 15-9, Over The College of DuPage

Garden City, New York - The NJCAA Lacrosse No. 2 nationally ranked Nassau Community College men's lacrosse team punched their ticket to the NJCAA National Championship for the 53rd time in program history, rolling 15-9 over the College of DuPage on Saturday afternoon at Mitchel Athletic Complex. The Lions earn an automatic bid to the 2024 NJCAA Men's Lacrosse National Championship set to begin on Saturday, May 4. 

Nassau Community College will look to win their first national championship since 2022 and their 24th in program history.

NJCAA Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week Freshman Jack Lepore led all players with five goals on seven shots, while classmate Brady Dolan handed out a game-high four assists. Freshman goalie Michael Titmann picked up the victory, making 12 saves on 21 shots, while classmate Tyler Kuprianchik won 17 of 28 face-offs from the X and scooped up a game-high 12 ground balls.

Nassau Community College outshot DuPage 52-26 and held a 47-36 advantage in ground balls. 

After falling behind 2-1, the Lions scored four of the following five goals to lead 5-3. Nassau scored three of the next four goals in the second quarter to lead 8-4 at the halfway point. 

The Lions exploded for a five-goal third quarter to increase their lead to seven goals, 13-6 and rolled to a 15-9 victory and a National tournament appearance.
