No. 1 Dutchess Falcons Men's Basketball Earns Top Seed in NJCAA National Tournament

The nationally ranked No. 1 Dutchess Community College men's basketball team will enter the NJCAA Division III National Tournament as the overall No. 1 seed. The NJCAA made the official announcement on its selection show on Wednesday afternoon which can be seen in its entirety here.

The NJCAA National Tournament will take place on the campus of Herkimer College in Herkimer, N.Y. from March 12 until March 15. Dutchess will compete in the NJCAA Quarterfinal on Thursday, March 13 at 1:00 p.m. against the winner of the nationally ranked No. 8 and eighth-seeded Northern Essex Community College versus nationally ranked No. 15 and ninth-seeded Dallas College Richland in its first-round matchup on Wednesday, March 12 at 12:00 p.m.

The Falcons captured both the 2024-25 Region 15 and Northeast District Championships. They are undefeated against NJCAA Division III opponents this year and have earned an overall record of 26-1. 

Dutchess has been led by reigning two-time Region 15 Coach of the Year Robert Piano, Region 15 Tournament MVP Amadou Diallo, and All-Region first team honoree Alijah England.
